School Wide Positive Behaviour
Tarneit P-9 College follows a school wide positive behaviour support approach. This approach aims to create a learning environment that is positive, calm and welcoming to all members of the school community.
We encourage positive feedback to students as often as possible and teach students how to behave appropriately in different situations. We recognise social skills and acceptable behaviours can and should be learnt in the same way we teach English or Maths.
We have a number of strategies that support the teaching and learning of positive behaviours including:
• Behaviour Expectations Matrix
• Learning Ladders
• Response to Intervention Model
• Wellbeing Curriculum program
With the unpreditable nature of our day to day lives, preparing and packing a healthy lunchbox can be a difficult task. Finding
time to shop and prepare interesting and healthy meals for schoollunches can be stressful. But the food we send to school with our kids can contribute up to 1/3 oftheir daily intake of nutrients. So it is important to pack a balanced lunch to ensure they’re getting the nutrients they need.
