Tarneit P-9 College Careers and Pathways Hub

The Careers and Pathways Program at Tarneit P-9 College supports students in exploring future opportunities, developing employability skills, and building confidence in making informed career pathway decisions.

This Program supports students to discover their strengths, interests, and future aspirations while connecting classroom learning to real-world careers. The College works closely with families, industry partners, universities, and TAFEs to provide meaningful and engaging career experiences for all students.

Our College has a qualified Careers Practitioner who supports students with career exploration, subject selection, transition planning, pathway advice, goal setting, and future career planning. She helps students make informed decisions about their education and post-school pathways.

Through early Career Education and Pathway support, students are provided with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for their future learning and career journeys.

Students are exposed to a range of career education opportunities including:

• Career exploration lessons through the Connect Program
• Morrisby Career Profiling (Yr.9)
• Development of Career Action Plans (Yrs 7-9)
• University and TAFE visits
• Industry workshops and guest speakers
• STEAM and Careers Events
• Transition support between Year Levels
• Subject Selection assistance
• Vocational and pathway programs
• Employability skill development
• Additional activities and online learning where parents can participate alongside their child

We are passionate about empowering students to build confidence, develop resilience, and gain the tools they need to make informed decisions about their futures. We are committed to supporting each student as they navigate their unique career journey.
